Sarasota at the Top of the List!
Recently I was showing some folks around Sarasota for the first time and they were delighted by the city. It is a special place and it is no wonder that we find ourselves as one of the most desirable destinations for those looking to relocate to Florida.
We have received many nice honors over the past few years and I recently came back across that list so I wanted to share it with you. It isn’t all-inclusive but it will give you an idea of the recognition we have received in the recent past:
- “Top 10 places to start a new business” according to American City and Business Journals
- “Top 10 places to retire young” by Money Magazine
- “Top 10 boomtowns for entrepreneurs” from INC Magazine (2nd year in a row)
- “15 Best Places to Reinvent Your Life” by AARP Magazine Sarasota’s New College is ranked 6th “Best value in public colleges in the US” by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine
- “Top areas for overall quality of life” by Business Development Outlook Magazine
- Siesta Key’s Crescent Beach was named among the “Top 3 walking beaches in the US” by Best Beaches USA
- “Top 5 among the Hot Spots in the Sunbelt” by BIZ Journals
- “Top 100 places to live” by Relocate America
- “Top 25 arts destinations among smaller cities” by American Style Magazine
- Longboat Key was voted “Best place to retire for singles” by Fortune Magazine
- Sarasota County was named among the “Top10 All-America counties” in the 57th annual All-America city awards in Anaheim, California
- Sarasota’s New College rated as the” #1 Liberal arts college in the US” by US News and World Report
- Pine View School for the Gifted was ranked in the “Top 10 High Schools in the US”
- “Top 100 Cities to Live and Launch a Business” by Fortune Magazine
Also, these folks were thrilled to know that the Waldorf-Astoria was coming to town and I found a bit more about that in a March issue of our local newspaper………….”Both Waldorf-Astoria (with only 5 other locations) and Nederlander Worldwide plan to join the Sarasota scene, signing up for a lavish four-star hotel, condos and an 800-seat off-Broadway performing arts center at the $1 billion development to be known as the Proscenium.”
Sarasota is only getting better all the time!

Sarasota really is a fabulous place to live. We are so happy you introduced it to us and helped us to find the wonderful home we now live in.
Your expertise and local knowledge were invaluable. You are in our opinion the best real estate agent a buyer or seller could hope to find.
