No matter where I go or to whom I speak, the topic of the Sarasota real estate market is very quickly where the conversation heads.  Everyone is interested in what is happening in our market and everyone is curious as to where it is headed.  I wish I had a crystal ball and could with 100% assurance tell you what will happen on Siesta Key in the future.  What I do know is what has happened in the past and where we are at the moment. I’d like to share some of this information with you in the hopes that it will be beneficial.

For the sake of making this update meaningful to you personally, and because our company focuses on the high end of the market, I have specifically looked only at homes that have sold that had been listed for $2 million and above. In the past 12 months there were 14 homes that sold on Siesta Key in this market of “listed for $2 million and above”. There are 2 additional sales pending at the moment. I have attached the information on each of those homes for you to review.  Compared to the prior 12 months, only 11 homes sold so the amount of activity has improved a bit. Here is a comparison of these timeframes.

Although averages can sometimes be deceiving and so one must look at individual sales and circumstances, overall, it is safe to say that Siesta Key is showing good signs of stability and that is good news for all homeowners!

At present there are 61 homes on the market. (If you would like to see the listing information on each of these homes simply email me and I will email you that information immediately.) Although homes are taking a bit longer on average to sell in this market, they are selling.
